Terms of Service
What you can expect from GrantFinder Pro, and what we expect from you.
Last updated 23 September 2026Privacy Policyhello@grantfinder.io
These terms are the agreement between you and Foxxception LLC ("we", "us"), the operator of GrantFinder Pro at grantfinder.io. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
We have tried to write this in plain English. Where something matters — money, AI accuracy, liability — we have said it plainly rather than burying it.
The short version
- GrantFinder Pro helps you find grants, plan applications and draft them with AI. It does not apply for you, and it cannot promise you will win anything.
- AI drafts are a starting point. A person has to read, correct and approve every word before it goes to a funding agency.
- Grant information comes from public sources. It can be wrong, stale or incomplete. The agency's own notice always wins.
- Paid plans include a number of applications per month, metered as credits. A failed run gives the credit back. A delivered draft does not.
- We are not your lawyer, accountant or grant consultant.
What GrantFinder Pro does
The service gives you, depending on your plan:
- Search and browse of federal opportunities from Grants.gov, curated Florida state programmes and curated private programmes.
- Matching and AI explanations — a score and a short written explanation of why an opportunity may fit your business, and what might disqualify you.
- Saving and tracking — a saved list, an application pipeline, deadlines, a calendar feed and a roadmap of steps and contacts.
- Reminders and alerts by email — new matches, upcoming deadlines, task reminders, a digest (daily, weekly or fortnightly; weekly unless you change it) and a notice when a draft is ready.
- An AI application writer — it reads the funding notice, asks you a short questionnaire, writes the application section by section using your business profile, your answers and your uploaded documents, then critiques the result against the notice's published criteria and produces a compliance checklist.
- Exports of a finished draft as a Word (DOCX) or PDF file.
What GrantFinder Pro does not do
Please read this section carefully. It describes the limits of the product.
- We do not guarantee that you will win a grant, be found eligible, or receive any funding. No feature of the service is a prediction of an award. The match score and the AI reviewer's score are estimates produced by software; the win-probability field in the pipeline is your own estimate, which you type in yourself. None of them is a commitment by any funding agency.
- We do not submit applications for you. You file with the agency yourself, through the agency's own system.
- We are not a law firm, an accountancy firm, or a grant consultancy, and nothing in the service is legal, tax, accounting or professional advice. If you need advice, hire an adviser.
- We do not check that the information you give us is true. The AI writes from your business profile, your questionnaire answers and your uploaded documents. If those are wrong, the draft will be wrong.
- We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or certified by the U.S. Government. The service uses the Grants.gov API but is not endorsed or certified by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. Award data comes from USASpending.gov.
- We do not promise the service will always be available. There is no uptime commitment or service level agreement in this agreement.
Who may use it
You may use GrantFinder Pro only if:
- you are at least 18 years old;
- you are using it for a business, organisation or professional purpose, not as a consumer product; and
- if you are acting for a business or organisation, you have authority to accept these terms on its behalf. In that case "you" means both you and that organisation.
The service is offered from the United States and is built around U.S. federal and Florida funding programmes. We do not check ages at sign-up, so this is a promise you make to us, not something we verify.
Your account and your workspace
Accounts are created and signed in through Clerk, our authentication provider. You are responsible for your sign-in credentials and for everything done under your account.
Your data lives in a workspace. Everyone gets a personal workspace. Agency plans can also create client workspaces, each with its own business profile, applications and documents. Application credits belong to the workspace, in a ledger held against it. Plan features are worked out per person per workspace: you get the best of the workspace's own plan, the workspace owner's plan and your own plan, so a plan you pay for follows you into the workspaces you work in.
A few things worth knowing:
- Workspace owners and admins are the only people who can start a checkout or open the billing portal.
- Members you add can see and work on that workspace's data. You add someone by the email address on their existing GrantFinder account — we never create an account from an address you type, so they have to sign up first. Remove a member and their membership ends; the workspace's data stays.
- Your calendar feed is a private URL containing a secret token. Anyone who has that URL can read the deadlines in it. You can reset it at any time from the calendar page, which immediately breaks the old URL.
- Some accounts were migrated from an earlier version of the site. A migrated account is reconnected on first sign-in only when the verified email address on the new sign-in matches the address we already held. If it does not match, you will get a fresh, empty account and should email us so we can reunite you with your data.
You must keep the email address on your account current. We use it for account notices, deadline reminders and everything else the service sends.
Plans and prices
Prices are in US dollars and exclude any taxes. Current plans:
Also available as one-time purchases:
- Single application — $199. One application credit plus 90 days of Writer-level access. There is no monthly allowance and it does not renew.
- Extra application credit — $39. One additional credit, on any plan that includes the writer.
What the plans unlock:
- Explorer (free): search, browse, match scores and AI match explanations, with a daily cap on explanations. You cannot save, track, file documents or use the writer.
- Matcher: matching, saved grants, the pipeline and planner, the roadmap, alerts, deadline reminders and the calendar feed. Word and PDF exports are of a finished AI draft, so they come with Writer and up.
- Writer: everything in Matcher, plus the AI application writer.
- Pro: everything in Writer, with 10 applications a month instead of 3.
- Agency: everything in Pro, plus five seats and client workspaces. Agency's 30 applications a month are one shared pool across all of that agency's client workspaces — not 30 per client.
If a workspace has more members than its plan has seats, the extra members keep their membership and read access but do not get the workspace's paid features until seats are freed or the plan is restored. Nothing is deleted when that happens.
AI match explanations are rate limited to protect the service: 20 a day for signed-out visitors, 40 a day on the free plan, 50 a day on paid plans, with a short-term per-client request limit on top. Signed-out searches may be asked to pass a bot check.
Some subscribers are on older, grandfathered prices from before the current plan ladder. As our pricing page says, an existing subscriber keeps the price they signed up at for twelve months after the new ladder launched. The legacy Enterprise plan is entitled and shown as Pro, and the earlier Writer price carries Writer's features.
Application credits
The writer is metered in credits, tracked in a ledger on your workspace.
- One credit buys one drafting run for one application. A run produces the questionnaire, the full draft, the reviewer critique and the compliance checklist.
- The credit is charged when the run starts, not when it finishes.
- If the run fails, the credit comes back automatically — once per draft, as a credit on the balance of the workspace that ran the draft. This is a credit, not money. For an agency, a run in a client workspace may spend a credit from the agency's pool, and a refund for that run lands in the client workspace rather than back in the pool.
- A delivered draft is never refunded, whatever you think of it.
- Revising a delivered draft costs nothing extra. Editing the text, asking the AI to rewrite a section, and restoring an earlier version do not spend credits. You do need a plan that includes writing to use the AI on it.
- Each application includes 15 AI section rewrites. Asking the AI to rewrite or tighten a section uses one. The allowance comes with the credit that paid for the application, is the same on every plan, and does not expire at the end of the month. Your own edits, version restores and exports are never limited. If you use them up in ordinary work, tell us and we will add more.
- Only one run per application at a time. Starting a second run on the same application while one is queued or running is refused, so a double click cannot spend two credits.
- Monthly allowances follow your billing period, not the calendar. If your period runs from 20 September to 20 October, that is one allowance. Annual plans receive one month's allowance each month, twelve across the year.
- Credits do not expire today and unused credits stay in your balance. If we ever introduce expiry, we will tell you before it applies.
- Credits have no cash value and cannot be transferred between workspaces except that an agency's client workspace draws from the agency's pool automatically.
Billing, renewals and cancellation
Payment. Payments are processed by Stripe on Stripe's own hosted checkout page. We never see or store your card number, expiry date or security code. We store your Stripe customer and subscription identifiers, your plan, your billing interval and your period dates.
Renewal. Monthly plans renew every month and annual plans every year, automatically, until cancelled. Yearly is priced at ten months, so two months are free.
Cancelling. You cancel from the billing portal, reachable from your subscription page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for. Until then, nothing changes.
At the end of a period. Your workspace returns to the free Explorer plan. Paid features stop. Your data is not deleted: your saved grants, applications, documents, drafts and exports stay where they are, and you can still read them and clean them up. Re-subscribe and everything is there again.
Downgrading works the same way. You lose access to features, not to data.
The single application gives Writer-level access for 90 days from purchase. When those 90 days end, the access ends. Again, nothing is deleted.
Refunds. Subscription periods and one-time purchases are not refundable, except where the law requires otherwise. Once you have seen the matches, the explanations and the drafts, that access cannot be returned. You can cancel at any time and keep what you paid for until the end of the period. An automatic credit refund for a failed AI run, described above, is a credit on your balance and not a payment back to your card.
Failed payments. If a payment fails and is not resolved, the subscription ends and the workspace returns to the free plan.
Taxes. Prices exclude sales tax, VAT and similar taxes. Where we have to collect them, they are added at checkout.
Price changes
We may change our prices. For an existing subscription, a change takes effect at your next renewal, and we will email you at least [PRICE CHANGE NOTICE PERIOD, e.g. 30] days before it does. If you do not want the new price, cancel before the renewal date. We may also add, change or retire plans and one-time products; existing paid periods run out on the terms you bought them.
Acceptable use
Use the service for its purpose — finding and applying for funding for a real business or organisation. Do not:
- Scrape, crawl or bulk-extract the service, its pages or its APIs, whether by script, extension or automated agent. Public grant data is available from Grants.gov and USASpending.gov directly; take it from there, not from us.
- Resell, rent, sublicense or white-label the service, or share one account with people outside your organisation. Agency plans exist for working on behalf of clients; use them.
- Get round limits — quotas, seats, credits, rate limits, the bot check — or try to.
- Abuse the AI: automating bulk generation, using it to produce content unrelated to grant applications, trying to extract our prompts or models, or attempting to make it produce unlawful content.
- Submit false information to a funding agency. The writer marks facts it was not given with a
[NEEDS INPUT: …]marker. You must supply the real information. Never submit a draft containing those markers, invented figures, invented partners or certifications you do not hold. Misrepresentation to a federal agency is a serious matter and it is entirely on you. - Upload content you do not have the right to upload, or anyone else's confidential or personal information without a proper basis.
- Attack or probe the service — no penetration testing without written permission, no attempt to access another workspace's data, no interference with the infrastructure.
- Use the service unlawfully, including in breach of export controls or sanctions.
Uploads are limited to 25 MB per file and to PDF, DOCX, XLSX, CSV, TXT, PNG and JPG files. We may enforce technical limits without notice to keep the service running for everyone.
Your content and who owns what
You own your content. Your business profile, your uploaded documents, your questionnaire answers, your notes, and the application drafts produced for you remain yours. We claim no ownership of them.
You give us a licence to run the service. To do what you ask, we need permission to store, process, copy, display and transmit your content — including sending relevant parts to the AI providers and other service providers listed in our Privacy Policy. That licence exists only so we can operate the service for you, and it ends when the content is deleted.
You are responsible for your content. You confirm you have the rights to everything you upload, and that using it in the service does not breach anyone's rights or any duty of confidence.
We own the product. The software, the interface, the matching and scoring logic, the prompts, our grant index and everything we have built stay ours. These terms give you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service while your account is in good standing. Nothing more is granted.
Aggregate data. We may use aggregate, non-identifying information about how the service is used — counts, patterns, what kinds of matches people act on — to improve matching, the product and our documentation. Aggregate means it does not identify you, your business or your content.
Feedback. If you send us suggestions, we can use them freely and without owing you anything.
Working with AI
The writer uses Anthropic's Claude models for drafting and critique, routed through Cloudflare AI Gateway, and Cloudflare Workers AI for match explanations, tagging and search. What we send them is set out in the Privacy Policy.
The terms that matter to you:
- The output can be wrong. AI models produce plausible text that is sometimes inaccurate, out of date, internally inconsistent or non-compliant with the notice. Treat every draft as a first draft written by a stranger.
- A human must review it before it is submitted. Check every fact, figure, date, name, credential and claim against your own records and against the funding notice. Resolve every
[NEEDS INPUT: …]marker. You are the applicant; the submission is your statement, not ours. - The AI is told not to invent facts about you, to respect stated word and page limits, and to write against the notice's published criteria. Those are instructions to a model, not guarantees. It can still get things wrong, and limits should be checked by hand.
- Output is not unique. Similar inputs can produce similar text for different customers. We do not promise that any draft is original, and we make no representation about its copyright status.
- We do not train AI models on your content, and we do not sell it. For calls to Anthropic, we tell the AI gateway not to log the contents of requests or responses. What each AI provider itself retains is governed by our agreement with that provider; see the Privacy Policy for the current position. [CONFIRM: the no-training and retention commitments that apply to our Anthropic and Cloudflare accounts.]
- The AI reviewer's score is not an agency's score. It is an estimate of how a reviewer might read your application against the published criteria. Real reviewers may see it differently.
- How much of your material reaches the AI. Per drafting run the writer includes your business profile, your questionnaire answers (up to 20,000 characters each) and up to 30,000 characters of text extracted from your uploaded documents, at most 6,000 characters per document. Your EIN and street address are never put into an AI prompt.
We may change the models, prompts and providers we use, to improve quality or because a provider changes.
Grant data from public sources
The opportunity index is built from public data: the Grants.gov API, curated Florida state programmes and curated private programmes. The agency spending figures on the home page come from USASpending.gov.
- It can be wrong or out of date. Deadlines move, notices are amended, programmes close, eligibility rules change and sources publish errors. We refresh the index on a schedule, so there is always a gap between the source and us.
- The funding notice is the only authority. Before you spend time or money on an application, open the agency's own listing and confirm the deadline, the eligibility rules and the requirements there. Card links to the source are provided for exactly this reason.
- We are not responsible for a missed deadline. Reminders are a convenience, not a guarantee of delivery. Email can be delayed, filtered or lost. Keep your own record of the dates that matter.
- Eligibility estimates are software output. Only the funding agency decides who is eligible.
- Agency contact details shown in the roadmap are published by the source. Treat them as a starting point and verify before relying on them.
Third-party links and services
The service links to funding agencies, source listings and other external sites. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content, accuracy or practices. The service also depends on providers including Clerk, Cloudflare, Neon, Stripe, Anthropic and Resend; their outages become ours.
Suspension and ending the agreement
You can leave at any time. Cancel your subscription in the billing portal and stop using the service.
Deleting your account and your data. There is no self-service delete button today. Email from your account's address — or simply reply to any email we send you, which reaches — and we will delete your account and its data manually, within 30 days. Some records are kept longer where we must; the Privacy Policy explains which, and why. Some records are kept longer where we must — the Privacy Policy explains which, and why.
We can suspend or terminate your access, with notice where practical, if you breach these terms, if your use puts the service, another customer or us at risk, if payment fails, or if we must for legal reasons. For serious cases — fraud, attacks, illegal use — we may act immediately and without notice.
We can discontinue the service. If we shut down or materially withdraw the service, we will give you reasonable notice and a chance to export your work, and we will refund any prepaid period you have not used.
After termination: your right to use the service stops. Sections that should outlive it — your content licence to the extent content remains, ownership, disclaimers, liability, governing law — continue to apply.
Disclaimers
The service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and any warranty that the service, the grant data or the AI output will be accurate, complete, current, uninterrupted, error-free or secure.
We specifically do not warrant that you will find a suitable grant, that you are eligible for any programme, that an application will be accepted, scored well or funded, or that any draft is compliant with a notice's requirements.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain disclaimers, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows:
- We are not liable for lost profits, lost grant funding, lost or missed awards, lost opportunities, lost data, business interruption, or any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages — even if we were told they were possible.
- Our total liability for all claims relating to the service is capped at [LIABILITY CAP — e.g. the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim].
- These limits apply whatever the legal theory — contract, negligence or otherwise — and survive any failure of an essential purpose of this agreement.
Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, such as for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
You agree to indemnify us against claims, losses and reasonable legal costs arising from your content, your use of the service, anything you submit to a funding agency, or your breach of these terms.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. When we do, we change the "Last updated" date at the top and post the new version at grantfinder.io/terms. For changes that materially reduce your rights or increase your obligations, we will also email account holders at least [MATERIAL CHANGE NOTICE PERIOD, e.g. 30] days before they take effect. Continuing to use the service after a change takes effect means you accept it. If you do not accept it, cancel.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Miami-Dade County, Florida, and both of us consent to their jurisdiction. There is no arbitration clause: either of us can go to court.
The rest
- Entire agreement. These terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between us about the service.
- Severability. If a court strikes out part of these terms, the rest stands.
- No waiver. If we do not enforce something straight away, we have not given up the right to enforce it later.
- Assignment. You may not assign this agreement without our written consent. We may assign it in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets.
- Force majeure. Neither of us is liable for failures caused by events outside our reasonable control.
- Notices. We reach you at the email address on your account. You reach us at .
