Fiscal Year 2024 Flood Mitigation Assistance Swift Current

Department of Homeland Security - FEMACloses Dec 30, 2026(78 days left)

Does this fit your business?

This is a FEMA flood mitigation program for governments, not businesses: states, territories, DC, local governments (which must apply through their state), and federally recognized tribes use it to reduce repetitive flood damage to NFIP-insured buildings. If you are a small business, sole proprietor, or nonprofit, you cannot apply and should not spend a week on this. The only way a business benefits is indirectly, as a contractor or vendor to a government that wins a grant.

About this grant

FY 2024 FMA Swift Current aims to better align the delivery of FMA flood mitigation funding to the disaster survivor experience. The FMA grant program makes federal funds available to states, U.S. territories, federally recognized Indian/Native American Tribal Governments, and local governments to reduce or eliminate the risk of repetitive flood damage to buildings and structures insured under the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP), and within NFIP-participating communities. FMA funds a variety of flood mitigation activities that are designed to reduce flood risk to NFIP policyholders in an effort to reduce the NFIP’s financial exposure.
